We took our lightweight, indestructible Grade 2 Titanium die (18g) and subjected it to precise, high-temperature heat treatment. By baking the metal in air at exact temperature thresholds, titanium reacts with atmospheric oxygen to grow a microscopic titanium dioxide skin. Through pure thin-film optical interference, that oxide layer refracts light to shimmer with a metallic deep blue without a single drop of dye, paint, or chemical coating.
After CNC machining from solid Grade 2 Titanium billets, each die is carefully heat-treated in a high-temperature atmosphere. As the titanium hits around 400°C–500°C, it grows a transparent crystal oxide layer just a few nanometers thick. Because of optical thin-film interference—the exact same physics that makes soap bubbles colorful—light reflecting off the oxide skin creates a brilliant, metallic deep blue.
You get all the lightweight, 18-gram aerospace agility and indestructibility of solid Grade 2 Titanium, upgraded with an unmistakable electric-blue finish forged entirely by heat and physics.
