Straight Off a Rocket Ship

Commercially pure Grade 2 Titanium is the metal you use when you need something to survive deep space, supersonic flight, and human bone implants without adding a single gram of unnecessary weight. We CNC-machined this 16mm die from a solid block of pure Titanium Grade 2, giving it a snappy, ultra-agile ~18.5-gram rolling weight that feels shockingly light for how stupidly tough it is. It is practically indestructible, immune to rust, and has that signature warm, slightly velvety titanium feel in the hand.

Why Machinists Respect It (The Craftsmanship Story)

Titanium is notorious in machine shops for being "gummy"—it dissipates heat so poorly that if you run your CNC lathe too fast, the metal will literally try to weld itself to the cutting tool! To get razor-sharp edges and flawless geometric precision, we carve each die slowly and methodically from a solid billet of commercially pure Grade 2 titanium. No casts, no seams, no internal air pockets—just mathematically balanced perfection.

Care Instructions
  • Roll it almost anywhere: At roughly 18.5 grams, this die won't obliterate your table like our 68-gram tungsten brick! While we still love a padded dice tray for the acoustics, this weight is safe for most normal gaming boards and desk mats.
  • Immune to the elements: Titanium instantly forms a microscopic, self-healing oxide layer the second it touches air. You could leave this die at the bottom of the ocean and it would never rust, corrode, or tarnish.
  • Zero maintenance: It is 100% hypoallergenic and biocompatible (literally the same grade used for medical implants). If it gets fingerprint smudges, just wipe it on your shirt.
Why Titanium Grade 2?

While Grade 5 titanium is mixed with aluminum and vanadium for structural aircraft wings, Grade 2 is unalloyed, commercially pure titanium. That purity gives it superior corrosion resistance and a much warmer, smoother tactile feel in your hand compared to cold steel. If our Tungsten die is a sledgehammer (68g) and our Zirconium is the middleweight (~27g), Titanium Grade 2 is the sports car of the lineup—light, agile, indestructible, and effortless to roll all night long.
